Sidewalk Gallery

Art, of course, is meant for everybody, and Sidewalk Gallery genuinely makes its always-stimulating works available to the masses: Its gallery comes in the form of a 50-foot-long curved wall viewable from the sidewalk outside. That out-of-doors art appreciation is worthwhile any time of day, but no question the Sidewalk Gallery really shines (so to speak) after nightfall: The display stays lit-up until midnight.

Galerie Sono

Galerie Sono showcases high-caliber paintings from artists all over the world in its sumptuous 6,000-plus-square-foot showroom, floored with shiny maple and rising to a 16-foot-high ceiling. Owner Claude Villani and Gallery Director Max Becker reveal an exceptional eye in their diverse shows, so whenever you happen to visit you’re guaranteed quite the visual feast.

22 Haviland Street Gallery

More fabulous art in all manner of media and tackling a broad swath of thematic territory awaits you in South Norwalk at the 22 Haviland Street Gallery. From photography to paintings, from sculpture to sketches, you’ll find much that inspires, provokes, and engages here—and regular opening soirees and other artist events!

Silvermine Arts Center

Some 300 juried artists belong to the long-established guild represented by the Silvermine Art Center, one of the cultural hubs of Fairfield County. The institution’s artistic legacy extends back to the early 20th century when the sculptor Solon Borglum helped found an arts colony in New Canaan. The Arts Center comprises five galleries and a sculpture garden with a rich lineup of yearly shows and series, plus monthly artist talks, film screenings, and other varied events.

Whether it’s an opening reception, an arts-history lecture, a presentation by a painter or sculptor, or simply a spur-of-the-moment walkthrough of a gallery, you’ve got much to sink your teeth into in the artistic department when you stay here at Hotel Zero Degrees Norwalk. We’re proud to be a member of a community with such a vibrant arts-and-culture energy, and always happy when our guests get a chance to explore it and experience it firsthand!
